The breeding season for brown bears in northern Spain normally occurs around May - June. This year, however, the Fundacion Oso Pardo (Brown Bear Foundation) have video evidence of a female coming into season at the end of August.

Last Thursday the 7th of April Elías Suárez, a warden working for the Fundación Oso Pardo, was out on a routine patrol looking for signs of bear in the Fuentes del Narcea, Degaña and Ibias Natural Park, Asturias.
