Situation
The drive to these delightful houses, set just off a bend of a small country road leading to the village of Llonín, takes you through a thickly wooded valley. The nearest town for shops and banks is Panes, about 8 km's, although there is a bakers nearby for your daily bread supplies as well as a lovely restaurant, La Xada. Neighbours make cider and jams.
From Rio Aliso country houses you are within easy reach of the Cares gorge and the western Picos and also the coast.
The rivers here are famous for their fly fishing and Javi, the owner, is happy to arrange visitors' licences for you to fish for trout and salmon at no extra charge for his services. He is also a wildlife guide specialising in birds (see details on the right). The area is particularly good for raptors; colonies of Griffon vultures, summer breeding Egyptian vultures and Short-toed eagles plus resident Golden eagles.
House Details
An old country house and barn has been converted into two houses, each with a double and twin bedrooms, fully-equipped kichens, and lounge/dining areas. House 1 has a front patio and a sunny balcony.
